Preface of the writer:
The present lecture gives the solutions to the all the problems you can find at the end of the chapters of our referential book "Essential Electromagnetism". We advise that you try a particular exercise after reading the concerned chapter, but certainly before searching any solutions published here.
There is often multiple ways to approch and solve a problem. Obviously, you should try any acceptable method that gives the appropriate result with the least effort. This seldom means you must look for symmetry in the problem - for example from the information given can we say that from symmetry arguments the field we need to derive can only be painting in a certain direction. If so, we only need to calculate the component of the field in that direction, or we may be able to use Gauss' law or Ampère's law to enable us to write clown the result.
In many of those problem's solutions, the easyest way to the solution is conscientiously neglected so as to highlight other methods of solving an exercice. However in those cases, the simpler method is often signalized.
There is a total correspondance between our two books concerning the problems and exercices for each chapter. There should be no confusion on that.
We hope you find those problems interesting. And we appreciate too much your kindness if you find any typos or errors to let us know it. Also, all your suggestions for any development are certainly welcome.
